Dr Mark Darroch

Senior Lecturer

Dr Darroch is a Senior Lecturer and has been the Academic Coordinator of Agricultural Economics, Management and Agribusiness at UKZN since 2002. He was dux student of the Faculty of Agriculture at the University of Natal (UNP) in 1982, and was the first student to be awarded the BScAgric degree summa cum laude. He was awarded a National Scholarship as best student in any faculty at UNP in 1982. He received the MScAgric degree cum laude from UNP in 1987, and was the first MScAgric recipient of the South African Association for the Advancement of Science Bronze Medal. Mr Darroch also won the 1987 Agricultural Economics Association of South Africa (AEASA) Best Masters Thesis Prize.
