Prof Andrew Cooper

Honorary Research Professor

Prof Cooper is a leading researcher in coastal geoscience, with more than 200 peer-reviewed journal articles and a dozen books to his name.  He is a fellow of the Royal Society of South Africa and a Fellow of the Geological Society of America.  He is based at Ulster University in Northern Ireland and collaborates with a global network of leading scientists.  As well as his UKZN Honorary Chair, he has held honorary positions in Brazil, Australia and the United States.
