Dr Ezugwu’s research interests are mainly in optimization, machine learning, deep learning, nature and biologically inspired algorithms and artificial intelligence, with a particular interest in computational intelligence and (meta) heuristics solutions to real-world global optimization problems.
He has published more than 50 papers in reputed venues including Knowledge-based Systems, Expert System with Application, Future Generation Computer Systems, Neural Computing and Applications, and Biomedical Signal Processing and Control. He is a reviewer to several high impact factor journals such as Expert System with Application, Applied Soft Computing, IEEE Access, and Artificial intelligence in medicine. He has graduated several postgraduate students.
